Sport

Sport is a valued part of school life and provides children with opportunities to develop confidence, teamwork, resilience and a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity. Through a wide range of sporting experiences, pupils are encouraged to challenge themselves, develop new skills and represent the school with pride.

We take part in a variety of sporting competitions and events across the local Dorking area, many of which are organised as tournaments. These events offer children the chance to compete against other schools, experience different sports and celebrate their achievements. While some events have a competitive focus, others are designed to encourage participation, inclusion and enjoyment, giving every child the opportunity to be involved and experience the benefits of sport.

At all sporting events, we are committed to upholding the Dorking Schools Partnership Code of Conduct. We expect our pupils, staff and spectators to demonstrate respect, fairness, teamwork and good sportsmanship, ensuring that every event is a positive experience for everyone involved.

We are incredibly grateful for the support of our parents and carers, whose help makes many of these opportunities possible. As school sport often takes place at venues across the local area, we rely on parent volunteers to help transport children to and from events. Their generosity and commitment enable us to provide a rich programme of sporting opportunities throughout the year, and we greatly value their continued support.
