Who processes your application

The governing body is the admissions authority for St Joseph's and has responsibility for admissions to the school, including setting the priority of admissions when the school is oversubscribed. St Joseph's will consider whether it has any vacancies and if so, assess whether it is able to offer a place. The school will contact you to let you know the outcome of your application

When will parents be notified of the outcome

Upon receipt of an In Year application, the school will aim to notify parents of the outcome of the application in writing within 10 school days. However, it might take up to 15 school days. You must respond to any offer of a place within two weeks.

The right to appeal

For applications for In Year Admissions, appeals must be heard within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged. If parents wish to appeal, they must set out the grounds of appeal in writing.

Waiting lists

The School holds a waiting list for In-Year Applications should we be unable to offer at the time of application. Please note that all waiting lists are updated at the end of each academic year and should parents/carers wish their child to remain on the waiting list for the following academic year, a new application form will need to be completed and submitted by the end of July each year. If the application is not renewed, the child's name will be removed from the waiting list.

It should be noted that no matter how long a child's name has been on the waiting list, his or her position on the list may change if the school adds a child's name to the list, which has a higher priority according to the oversubscription criteria.
