		<title><![CDATA[St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School Album Feed - Year 3 Farming Project]]></title>

		<description><![CDATA[During the Summer Term, our Year 3 pupils have the opportunity to become &quot;Young Farmers&quot;. &nbsp;Thanks to the generosity of local farmer Hugh Broom, the children are all given a plot on a local farm to tend. &nbsp;The children will visit their plots once a week to sow seeds and tend their plants. &nbsp;As well as giving the children an appreciation of where their food comes from and how hard farmers have to work, the topic offers great opportunities to cover elements of the Science ,&nbsp;Geography, DT,&nbsp;English and Maths &nbsp;curriculum. &nbsp;One of the first tasks is for the children to design and make scarecrows to protect their plots from the birds.
