Saint Carlo Acutis

We have a new saint!
On Sunday 7 September, Carlo Acutis was canonised as a Saint by Pope Leo. Carlo was 15 years old when he died of Leukemia, and was a wonderful young man who had a strong faith, and used his interest in computers to make websites about saintly miracles! After his death, two miracles have been attributed to Carlo in the form of healing those who have prayed to him and near his body in Assisi. You can read more about him by clicking here.
At St Joseph’s, we want to recognise the example of Saint Carlo - a gentle, selfless, devout boy who the children can relate to. We will be doing more work about him at school and encourage you to ask your children about Saint Carlo, and to do some research about him together.
The Faith in Action Team led the rest of the school in a Liturgy. We have been thinking about how we can use Carlo to inspire us to be selfless.
